Global Rental, Service & Marketing (GRSM) is a part of the Services, Distribution & Digital (SD&D) segment.
GRSM is comprised of Global Rental & Used Equipment Services, Global Service and Global Marketing & Brand.
A primary role of GRSM is to support and enhance Caterpillar's dealer network, which is a competitive strength and the critical way in which we serve our customers.
As a Customer Experience Coordinator , you will collaborate with the other Associate Project Consultant to schedule, develop, coordinate, and manage logistical services of marketing-related events, exhibits and/or projects for internal and external customers that may require on-site implementation.
This is an entry-level project manager position whose key role is management for 7 to 12 projects per week.
To accomplish this, you will work closely with the Field Operations Manager and the other Associate Project Consultant.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Manage event intake process Greeting groups upon arrival at EDLC (Edwards Demonstration and Learning Center) Directing groups to assigned rooms Maintain contact and customer satisfaction during the actual event Assist with facility social media account(s) Work with the other Associate Project Consultant on specific needs for events and communicate those needs to the F&B (food & beverage) staff.
Responsibilities related to the F&B staff include:
Menu creation with the head chef Communicating food allergies to the chef F&B breaks are set on time and in the correct places Ensure the presentation of F&B services meets the standards/expectations of the DLC's Keep inventory of F&B related to breaks as well as anything needed for breaks such as paper goods, cutlery, etc.
Assist head chef in F&B orders Maintain consistent food and beverage options for breaks while being mindful of additional seasonal options Manage food costs Collaborate and communicate with facilities logistics team for event set up Collaborate and communicate with head chef on extra staffing needed for large events Assist whenever extra help is needed including prepping, cooking, setting breaks, setting tables, etc.
At times direct internal salaried support staff.
Typical internal customers include various contacts throughout Caterpillar worldwide and its subsidiaries.
External contacts include various customers, dealers, and vendors throughout worldwide markets.
The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems that may not be obvious.
Solves problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions.
You are free to determine the best way to complete job assignments to achieve desired results.
Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, etc.
Basic
Qualifications:
5
years of project management and/or 3
years of event planning experience Experience working in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.
) Must be willing to travel up to 5% of working time Top Candidates will also have:
Bachelor's degree or higher Experience working with various company products, product applications or merchandising programs Experience developing a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department Additional Information :
